Workshop 3: Hiring and Recruiting
This seminar will explore everything that needs to be considered when bringing on new employees. From creating effective job descriptions and job ads, to creating efficient wage ranges for every position within your company. We will also cover the “do’s and don’ts” of conducting background checks, and when can you legally conduct them with all the new employment laws that have come into place in the last year.
After this 4-hour course you will walk away with:
- An understanding of various steps to hiring new employees from creating job descriptions and advertisements to conducting effective phone screens and interviews
- An understanding of how to determine job status / classification and creating a wage range for each position within your company.
- Knowledge of how to use benefits for recruiting purposes and source candidates
- Best practices for all steps of the recruiting process including background checks and employment testing
