Due to the number of requests we have received, All Things HR will be hosting a “Special” Roundtable Discussion on the new Washington State Paid Sick and Safe Leave Law. Our guest will be Mr. Bryan O’Connor, Managing Shareholder of the Seattle Jackson Lewis Office. The purpose of this roundtable is to discuss and ask general questions as it pertains to the new law that will go into effect, January 1, 2018. We will also review some of the State’s sample PTO policies that were recently made available to the public for review and comments.
This Roundtable is for those who have a general knowledge of the new law (also known as I-1433). For those not familiar with the law, we encourage you to register for Jackson Lewis’ free webinar, “Getting Ready for I-1433: Washington State’s New Statewide Paid Sick & Safe Leave Law”, this Wednesday, November 15th, 11am – 12pm, PST. You can register by clicking here.
Please know that due to time constraints this is a general Q&A discussion on compliance with the new law. Should you wish Mr. O’Connor to review your specific company PTO policy to ensure compliance, you will have to engage with him separately. All though all are encouraged to attend, there is limited seating. Should there be enough interest, a second roundtable may be added for later time on the same day.
