Workshop 8: Safety, Payroll and Record Keeping Legal and Best Practices
Many HR Professionals have the responsibility of managing their company’s safety program, payroll, and HR record keeping. How do you maintain compliance with all these different functions, duties and responsibilities? In this workshop we cover all these compliance topics, the requirements, and the best practices that every HR professional needs to know.
After this 4-hour course you will walk away with:
- An understanding of safety and risk management including APPs, WISHA, safety committees, OSHA 300 Recordkeeping, and L&I Investigations
- An understanding of payroll basics as it relates to human resources
- How to maintain employee files and what the required maintenance is, including medical files, I-9s, drug testing, background checks, L&I, and payroll files
- How to train and develop for your employees who are responsible for these job functions, departments, and programs.
