• When having a financial conversation with a business owner/ decision maker be sure to be cognizant of the greater issues and concerns of the organization and frame your interactions appropriately.
• Be mindful that you can’t just come to the table requesting increases in benefit plan structure and cost, higher wages for all, or any of your high-priority issues without framing the conversation in business efficiency, or higher profitability context. You must specifically keep HR-related topics in perspective, pick your priorities and create a strategy.
